One of my cousins just got Boerboel puppy last week and it is the best looking, most well tempered, and smart puppy I've ever come across. Until now I've had my heart set on a Chocolate Lab, they're great dogs, both as a pet and an awesome hunting dog, but this puppy really made me start to rethink.

It is a South African breed, they actually imported the puppy from South Africa where her husband still has family. It's a mix of bulldog, Mastiff, and a few others for good meaure I think.

Just wanted to know if anyone out there had any experience with them?

Try www.dogbreedinfo.com they have a decent write up on them. At 150-200 pounds adult weight they sure aint tiny.

 

Since we're talking about dog breeds, has anyone ever owned a Tosa Inu? Just curious about their temperment....
