Age of Excursion owners?
#61
I'm 31 wife 26. Bought our 04 Ex EB 2wd 6.0, Oct 2010. 101K miles and a 1 owner. Loving it so far. Hope the 6.0 holds together long enough for me to do some preventive maintenance. (Bullet proof EGR cooler and Oil cooler.)
Wish we would have bought one in 05 when we bought an Expedition. Sold the Expedition in 08 for an 08 Accord and we missed the room. So I finally found a diesel Ex in good condition and couldn't be happier.

we got our 2000 x in 2006 when we bought a TT. after we found out our Expediton would not tow the TT. we traded an 88 mustang gt covertable in for the Excursion (talking about growing up). The X was my daily driver until we added a 1999 F150 4x4 to our ford corral (winter of 2008 i put the Excursion in a ditch after a snow storm and it sat there for 2 days and took 2 tow truck to extract it) that why i have 4x4 now!!!

Im 46 This is my first Ex. Many fords before this one. Cant believe I waited this long! 02 4x4 My children call it Big Country, we use it to hall the TT around the midwest. My 06 Expedtion was having a hard time with it. The Ex dont even know its hooked up! So the wife keeps the Expedtion as a DD and I drive this.

Thanks for the bump, AlaskanEx. I hadn't seen this thread.
Bought my first Ex in February of this year. 2000 XLT 4x4 V-10. If something happens to her, I'll buy another one just as fast as I can find one. My wife never understood my fascination with them until we bought this one. Now she loves it as much as do I.
I've got 38 years experience at being 19, making me 57. (Until later this week.)
With the possible exception of the Ex, your wife has the coolest ride. (And it was called a '302' "back then".)
