Trying to get this beast to pass emissions, and I finally found why the hell my egr wasn't working...lol the previous owner filled all the egr cavities with jbweld. Freaking beautiful.
I'm hoping someone has a unit they'll sell me cheap and possibly priority mail it?

The original EGR/Carb spacer plates were aluminum. these MELTED internally within a short time.
The FoMoCo replacement spacer plates were cast iron.
1975/76; 1978/82 are not the same. Ford changed the EGR valves several times, have different bolt patterns where they bolt to the spacer plate. The gasket is also different.

This one is original then, and made of aluminum. the passages along the neck where the exhaust traveles through were all broken through, I couldn't figure it out. Even the spacer on the top had a hole where it melted through...It appears the owner tried to fix it then with jbweld just to get it going again.
I have one on order, surprisingly from autozone and it's supposed to be here tomorrow. I'm worried though that it's going to be made of aluminum.
351coupe, is yours cast iron or aluminum?

the spacer came in today from autozone...it's either an nos piece or cast off the original die, as it's got the ford logo on it, it's cast iron, and has a d7 part # on it. Good stuff. Thanks for all the offers guys.
