What did you do to the X today?
I feel for you and wish you all the best luck with this. Last time somebody tried to steal my truck it was at the top of the driveway. Luckily I had woken up to pee, heard them out there, and confronted them. There was three of em, they started at me... I shot one in the thigh with a PDX .45 with my 1911.
Haven't had problems since then. I did lose my pistol for seven weeks as evidence, but got it back without incident afterwards. I do love Texas sometimes...

Texas does seem to have some good gun laws. Our CHL instructor said you can shoot someone who is breaking in to your property without any other reason. I don't know that I will be testing that...but if they come towards me after I yell, I won't hesitate to do what Matt did. And I just got a new 1911 from the wife!
Nothing on mine either...still parked in the driveway. Not leaking but still making a terrible noise. Sold our land in TX so also stepping up the home search. Of course I think BTS is going to get some of that once I verify tranny is bad! Maybe I will wash and vacuum her for grins. On a side note I am picking up a super clean matching numbers SKS today! Been wanting one for awhile, but prices have been outrageous.
Tahoe
So our Beast took the family from the LA area up to Lake Tahoe for a week of relaxing, hiking, and sight seeing.
A sudden hailstorm near Emerald Bay didn't do my paint job any favors
The only real drama came about halfway home, as a howling vibration developed from the rear end, prompting us to stop in Lone Pine CA, to have it checked out. The rear differential was pretty warm, but the U joint was so hot it would burn your hand. Fortunately, Casey's auto service was able to replace them (F/R.. Might as well do 'em both), and we were back on the road. Took care of the noise, but there's still some vibration (or maybe it's just my head), so I'm gonna have it looked in to. Seems to be between 65-70 mph, and then it mostly goes away. Tires unbalanced? Driveshaft? Always something with a 13 year old truck. Guess I could drop $70,000 on something new... NOT.

After way too many hours on craigslist followed by way too many hours driving, I finally got my hands on a set of oem wheels. Cheap too.
Before:
Acquiring with the Jetta. Wooo 45 mpg!
And now. They came with 275/70-18's mounted on them, but I think it needs a little taller yet. Plus needs to be more aggressive like the duratracs I had on before all this suspension swap stuff.

Nice wheels! Welcome to the club.
My brakes were squeaking a bit. I have a friend that works in a shop and hes known as MacGyver. He let me know a trick to keep the brakes from squeaking, forever. So, having had an issue with the RH bearing tossing its grease, I was going to replace it. That lead to ball joints and the U-Joint on the axle. Wow did this kick my ***. I'll be having this done in the future.
Its a good thing I did this, I found that my lower ball joint was bad and the U joint only had one direction of rotation. And, as you can see, one of the caps was filled with rust.
And yes, the drink is my reward!
Sorry, not sure how to get the pics in order or stacked.

It was a draw between these wheels and the 20" KR or platinums but I had no luck at all finding/buying a set of 20s
I picked these up for $350 with the tires on them, which was helpful because I wasn't sure what size tire I wanted to go with.
