Yes, best of luck to doggy! Shame they have such short lives.

My boarder is working on 16 years old now. Her hind legs barely work any more, I have to carry her up the hill from the lake while camping. She has had two strokes now and can barely hear at all, we use hand signals for her. I dread the day that is coming soon.

Pic of her in the back of my yak just a few days ago camping.

Sorry to hear that Mark, it's never easy.

I've had to say goodbye to 5 dogs so far, each of them near and dear to me with two being my personal companion.

PS - I don't text you because it costs some serious dough to text cross border

Mark, Sorry to hear about the dog's problems, we too are dog people (our dogs like to keep us humans around for entertainment). We have gone to great lengths to keep several dogs comfortable near the end of their time, it's never easy but it's the least we can do for all of the loyalty they have shown over the years.

Diesel prices here have dropped (some places) to be within 10% of 87 octane,, I feel like I'm driving like I stole the fuel too!

With your 4.88 and 35"s I imagine that you were spinning that V-10 about 2750RPMs or so, plenty of power on tap up there! You would LOVE what the 87 or 89 Performance tune from 5Star would do for you in that scenario Dave!

Actually, yep, about 2800-3000, or 3700-4000 depending if I was in drive or OD. My buddy has me talked into the 5Star, he has one in his V10 and 5.4L. Said it made a HUGE difference. But I'll be running the 91 tunes. That's all I burn in there 91 or better. Good news is the two Duramax trucks I was with, couldn't out run me, not even in the hills. And better yet, they only got 1-2 mpg better on overall average MPG.

I noticed on the way home from camping that they put up the 70mph speed limit signs here now.

My wife drove our Ex the first 6 yrs and I went through 3 stock bumpers in that time (looked similar to yours) Then I upgraded, no dents since.

Well, on the bumper anyway... Sage/Mesquite pin striping optional.

I had a conversation with my wife a few weeks ago that she would probably not be making the trip to SoDak this year...little did I know.

At the very least, we will make her happy for her final months.
I really feel for you Mark, I KNOW how loveable those dogs are. Mine gets grayer all the time.

We run the Duramax Gas duelies for delivery sometimes. 5 MPG on a 24 gallon tank at 9000 lbs, vs empty at 10 MPG. Great trucks with 4.56 gears (chebby equivalent) but why would they put that tiny fuel tank in them?
