What did you do to the X today?
What is the going rate for my 16" limited wheels? They are in excellent condition and a guy took me by surprise and asked if I'd sell them.
I'm uncertain of the value and uncertain if I would even let them go e even though I have the H.D. wheels.
The tires have minimal value but probably have 10-15% life.

I found some a few years ago in Albuquerque (brother lives there) and paid $75 for the set of 4 and they were in excellent condition. Oddly enough, I sold my old beat up ones that looked worse than the ones in the ad for $100 here in Ohio. I agree on passing on those.
A lot can change in a day.
I drove out to the wrecking company and finally got my hands on the '05 Header Panel I've needed. Ended up getting it for just under a hundred (they had quoted me $125 so I'm happy). Before coming home I picked up the bumper pad which has now been repainted from maroon to Ebony Black.
I have to say I'm very happy right now. I had originally put this project on the back burner because I was looking to spend $800+ on *aftermarket* parts to do a cosmetic upgrade. The fact that I'm doing the whole thing with OEM parts for just over $300 is sweet.
It's unusually wet in this part of the world right now but I'm planning on kicking my wife out of the garage for the weekend to get this all set up. I don't think it's going to take much more than a couple hours anyways.

In other news,
Placed an offer for a complete set of manuals on Ebay:
And a set of Powerstroke badges:
Cheers,

Headers are in and Stan is back on the road. Wooooooooo!
I love the way it sounds. Not much louder, more grunt really. Also really brings out that "Scream" this motor makes at high RPMs. No drone at all, so far. It does sound more wooshy, like a hiss. Very very well put together kit, aside from the heat shield I had to modify.
Not a bad project. Worst parts were:
1. Getting wheel wells out
2. Heat shield installation
3. Getting wheel wells back in
Tom, where did you get that exhaust insulation wrap? I think I'm going to make a few more heat shields.
