What did you do to the X today?
Agsmv1 you should fine with what came with the rims, those closed caps should fit over your hubs, the '04 H-D F-250 that Mark's rims came off of was a 4X4 and those wheels all have the solid caps. Those caps pop on and off easily with the rubber cover tip of the factory lug wrench or like I use a brake tool wrapped in tape. So as long as you aren't locking and unlocking your hubs too frequently it shouldn't be too much of a hassle. I keep forgetting when exactly the lug studs switched from the earlier coarse thread and went to the later fine thread, I think the change was in '02 or '03. The chrome H-D nuts that are coming with your rims will be fine thread so as long as your EX has fine studs you are all set to go!
I have heard of "new inventive ways" and a topside creeper but wow your ingenuity is quite good there.
I had an amazingly productive day. I jacked up the truck and dropped the sway bar and changed all the sway bar bushings using my press, changed out what was left of the old bump stops, then changed out the front shocks for bilstein 5100's. Then I changed the rear shocks but had to press out the old bushings for the too and reuse them because my shocks were for an f250 (I didn't know the top mount was different). Then I rotated the tires and plugged one with a slow leak. I feel very satisfied with myself.
And the best part is no more annoying clunk where the away bar bushings went metal to metal. Plus the sway bar actually works without allowing a few inches of immediate roll before it became effective like before.
Oh, and the bilsteins tightened up my ride over bumps considerably. Turns my my factory shocks weren't actually blown, which was odd because I have towed pretty heavy a few times and my truck has 120k on it. The rubber bushings were pretty rotted though, especially in the front, so I figured I'd just change shocks. Very glad I did.
Honestly with the new Ebc rotors and Hawk pads the poly track bar bushings, away bar bushings and bump stops, the red head steering box, and the front v codes my truck handles a million times better than it did when I bought it 5 years ago.
Edit: I pulled the wheels off my f150 when I had to do a motor swap in a relatively short garage. I'll have to remember the patio cushion for next time. Those are like twenty bucks at Walmart. Would have been nice today when I was laying under my truck.

Nate, I also noticed you did the swaybar end link delete... Nice

That cushion has been a huge part of my life lol.
Made forts with it when I was way little, watched tons of movies on it, used it to fly down the stairs at 3000 mph, and now its dedicated to the garage.
It covers 1/2 the engine bay if needed, and is thick enough to protect both the engine and me. I don't feel a thing.
Also works great for laying under the truck, or taking a break to search for the next step on my phone... Or to just cool down before the grinder comes out and starts to make things a whole lot easier, and more expensive.
Love it.
Cheers,
Nate
