The Ex had a grinding noise from the driver side front brakes so I figured I would check it out. Turns out the slide pins were stuck and it ate all the pad off the back side of the rotor and ate some deep groves into the rotor. I was getting ready for a brake upgrade before this camping season starts so I ordered the Power Stop kit without the calipers, just the pads and slotted/drilled rotors. From Amazon it was cheaper then buying OE replacements from the auto parts stores in town. Now I'm painting the brackets and prepping everything I can while I wait for the brown truck to get here.

I'll be checking this for an update, I ordered the same kit for my Ex off of 4wheel.com. They had a March sale that made their price just a bit less than Amazon. I'm waiting on some other front end pieces to come in so I can do front brakes and ball joints, etc. at the same time. I hadn't thought of painting the brackets since my 05 Ex came from Texas and it's still pretty clean. How hardcore are you getting with stripping them down first, and I assume you will just rattlebomb them with Rustoleum or something?

First day at the racetrack for the season. A rainy Lime Rock Park. But the Ex did a flawless job getting us there and home. I cannot imagine a more comfortable and confidence inspiring vehicle to tow with - I love my Ex!
Hooked up my open trailer to the Ex to go pick up a parts truck and pretty much nothing worked. The wiring on it had been hacked, ripped off, patched up, ripped off again, patched again, etc. over the last few years (there was nothing to really hold the wiring in place, so it would eventually sag down and snag on stuff). Ended up removing EVERYTHING and starting over from scratch. Now everything works as it should so I can go get this stupid parts truck tomorrow. Plus I made some attachments to hold the wiring up out of harms way so I shouldn't have to mess with it any time soon.
