Any free advice from someone who has done front springs on their Ex ?
Just remove the front bumper and pull the spring out that way. The driver side rear spring eye bolt will touch the driveshaft but you can get it out. May have to raise/lower the axle to get it out. Once the new spring is in, install that bolt the opposite way (in case you need to do it again).

X 2 on bumper removal or add two hours and three beers to the job.

we took our EX on a little adventure trying to get up to our favorite camping spot north of Priest Lake ID, and found A lot of snow. we got 5 miles up the NFS road till it got too soft and deep. here are some pictures and videos of it, on the way down we found a Rav4 that was stuck.

I will add to removing the front bumper, your front eye bolts may contact the brackets that hold the condenser in. One bolt each and they come right off. I did my fronts in about 3 hours with a second person helping me to stab the eye bolts back in while I pryed things into place.

Thanks, pulling the bumper off is no problem. It just doesn't look like the front spring eye bolt will clear the radiator support when I slide it in toward the center of the truck to release the spring, but if you guys say it will I believe you. I may tackle it this weekend if the weather is good.

P.S. I know you posted pics when you did yours. Can you direct me back to those pics?

They are earlier in this thread, I don't know how to link to pages in a thread. My pics weren't as detailed as I would have liked, I was jobbing and being charged hourly for the stall I was using. Its a lot more straightforward than it sounds. I dreaded it for a while before just doing it. The hardest part about the front springs was getting the axle back lined up under them. Ratchet straps or a come along go a long way towards this. With x codes I believe im on the bleeding edge of needing a new adjustable trac bar, as it pulled pretty tight to line things up. Good luck!

I'm installing Pro Comp 22210s. At least I was smart enough to order a Zone Off Road adjustable track bar. I'll be installing it at the same time....

I have an adjustable one on my list. I could probably use the new bushings it has as much as the adjustment. Looking forward to seeing yours with those new tires.
