It took me a little more than 8 hours but the Ex made it a delightful drive. I'm very impressed, close to 500 miles and just about half a tank of diesel. Impressive! As a matter of fact, the lieometer told me I would get 500 miles before empty and now once arrived it tells me 430.

Just about to enter the Cheasapeake bay bridge/tunnel.

Cheasapeake at sunset.

[I]"They said there was trouble with the car," Kvapil said. "I thought we could figure it out when we got in the garage area. They're like, 'No, the car is gone.'" [I]

I just read that article but I saw something about that they found the trailer.

Been over that bridge many times, always a treat to see the mouth of the bay.

They found the car only. Truck and trailer are still gone and I'd guess unlikely to be found at this point. There was a spare 100K engine and 15K+ of tools and various spares in there. Car had to be too hot to handle.

Personally, there is NO WAY I would ever park my truck hauling nearly 400K of race car in it at a motel parking lot. Me, a dog, and Mr Smith and Mr Wesson would be sleeping in the back seat. Am I paranoid?

They are a low budget third/fourth rate team.
Every other team is parked inside the confines of the track.

Just got back from the cabin after a day trip to take the fish house off the lake. As a bonus, did some drift bashing with the snowmobiles on the lake! Only place with enough snow....what a crappy winter! 300+ mile round trip with no issues in the X!

Well, I'm picking up a car trailer and hope it doesn't contain a NASCAR vehicle in it! Not planning on a smokey & the bandit skit.

Heading back to the cottage tomorrow for more snow clearing. Can barely get down the road is so narrow with the snowbanks up to the mirrors. Hopefully don't have to boost the Hough again, a real pain getting close enough when there is tons of snow.

Cleaned a section of the roof off. A lot of weight in snow. Dark picture doesn't really do the amount of snow justice.

I fired my Ex up today, filled it up with fuel. the first time i've filled it since December 2014. Then i picked up a family friend and their two little girls and we had breakfast and headed down town for the annual Fur Rondy Festival. spent most of the day out and about, came home and i'm about to cook some steaks, garlic bread and salad..yum!
