Hey, I read this post when I got up today, and decided to post you back some photos. I live on Bolling-Anacostia in DC, just across from Reagan National. On the way home yesterday I noticed that the Coast Guard DET here has all their boats out. I decided to snap a few photos this morning.
I guess they're expecting a bunch of idiots out on the water this weekend. Anyway, here's my Ex with the boats. Coolest thing is after I took this picture, I saw Marine One CV-22 / Osprey's taking off.

Nice pics of your Ex and those 25-foot response boats! FYI the CG is actively replacing those boats with a newer 29-foot boat, so if you cruise the Govt auction websites, you can find the 25's on the auction block. Seems like the average pricing is 30k and up... On a side note, I have been on those boats, I even designed the logo/coin for that unit.
As for me, life has been a little hectic these past few days, but the Ex has not been a source of any of the issues
She has been reliable and a constant joy to drive. Yesterday we took her on our bimonthly run inland from the coast, and she punched though the rain storm we were having, like nothing was there or going on.
I have to say that i just love the Excursion, and while I know there is another thread for this, but Ford needs to bring back the Ex. that way i can find a nicely used one once this one gives up the ghost sometime, a LONG time, from now!
My son has his learners permit and I let him drive the Ex home the 40 miles from his grandparents tonight. Since I have been working on it over the last few months he hasn't driven it lately. After he got use to the brakes and the size he said he thinks it is fun to drive. I felt him goosing the turbo some. I had better look out, he will want his very own 6.0.
I filled my f-150 tonight for $2.34 (had a 30 cent discount) but i'd rather pay $4 a gallon and have a secure job. Luckily it looks like 2015 will be fine as we are not slowing any up here. But 2016 leaves some question marks...
no ones to optimistic around theses parts in alaska, allot of slope workers are being sent home. lot of people saying the price of homes will be half what it is today in anchorage alaska in 2 years due to people having to leave alaska for work down south. reminds me of exactly what happened in 80's but a little less worse. it was really much worse then that back in them days.
