Im not entirely sure if the local shop here uses bb's or a product specifically designed for balancing tires being that is one of the services they specialize in, cant see much a difference in the effect of either method used however

from my understanding it is 1 oz of bb's per 10lbs of tire

I used the .12 gram bb's but they were the cheapest at the local wally world

as for the bfg's my brother has swore by them for years now but he runs Toyota's and doesn't tow very much so I was worried about only an 8ply on a heavy diesel and towing but I am giving them a change at $950 delivered to my door it seems worth it

What did I do to the Excursion today? I used it to win against a typical Houston rush-hour driver that didn't check before changing lanes....

Rig has zero permanent damage, there's a pinstripe rub mark from the Malibu's side mirror before the rear flare on the Ex took it off. Going to rub it off this weekend and you'd never know. It's so thin the camera wouldn't pick it up.
The Malibu on the other hand lost the driver side mirror, dented the driver's door, pushed in the rear door, and my tires provided the color change. I barely felt the impact.. I love my Excursion.

We just got back from a 1500 mile swing through the MidWest looking at Universities with our son, got a trip average of 26.9 MPG.

Of course we were driving the Honda, not the mighty V-10!

TMI Matt, TMI!

Oh, you mean that you are going to compound out the new pinstripe, now I understand.
Glad you made out with literally only a scratch. I drive a Geo Metro to work so I get to look at a lot of big tires, I always try to give everyone else plenty of room!

Aww... No furious fap fest?! Lol. Yes, I can see now I worded that poorly but I'll leave it as is for posterity.

I love driving the Chevelle, but I have a hard time taking it on the freeway. It's a big car but it still feels small. That and it doesn't have a horn, not that it matters since the truck horn works like a champ and it didn't slow that Malibu down at all. Not even a hesitation.

Where all did you go Tom? Who in the lead for selling you the $50,000 sweatshirt? My youngest is off to her college adventure next year, though she is staying within 100 miles.

Eric, this is our only child so he is lucky to not be competing for college money with any siblings. As things stand now his school favorites in order are;
Ohio State
University of Syracuse
University of Dayton
Boston University
Virginia Tech
Penn State
He is looking to study aeronautics, astronautics and computer engineering.
This last trip took us to Ohio State, Purdue and U of Dayton.
I think we will be doing a lot trips to the Buckeye State over the next several years.
