Now that is a party bus!

See you got some Firestone's for the X, my company buys those for our trucks, I think it is almost impossible to wear the damn things out, they buy Destinaqtion LE's though...

What have we learned Joe?

ALMOST did the same thing this past summer, but I think we both learned the same lesson: Excursions are heavy.

Thanks, about the only option it does not have is the "Stripper Pole."

Daddy worked for Firestone for 40+ years I always give them the last opportunity.

All you need for a "stripper pole" is a wash tub, couple sacks of cement, the pole of course and if you're really "uptown" a small trailer to mount it on!
Went to Mud Nationals one year, a few enterprising rednecks had built the above "stages" and were pulling them behind their 4 wheelers!

Well, we made it safe to Colorado! On the way, we enjoyed the 80mph speed limits, and the scenery!

80mph in Idaho!

A HUGE train in Wyoming!

The Ex seems to be running fine, but I did throw a code, that dang, obscure P132B code... About that time, I started noticing black exhaust when I would hit the throttle. I am thinking that my EGR valve finally crapped out.

Fingers crossed that the local Ford dealer has one available, and that the exhaust issue is tied to that. Not sure what else it would be.

Thoughts?

David,

Check out this thread on P132b.

Also, unplug the EGR valve with key/engine off to see if it persists. If your valve is older, they can get weak, and the EGR gasses can lift them off their seats, even when commanded closed. That code can really run you around.

I JUST cleaned the dang thing, but I think it was on its way out, and I think it just gave up the ghost. I am hoping that the local Ford parts department is open tomorrow it being a holiday and all... Once I have the valve and o-rings, it should be an "easy" and "quick" change.

After reading more about that dang valve, with a good explanation found here, I think that this is my main problem and should clear things up for me.

Fingers crossed for the parts shop being open tomorrow...

Quick question, I dislike that "new" photo attachment deal that FTE is using. Is there a way to go back to the old easier and faster IMG attachment window when you click on the img icon?

The new deal is slow, takes up the whole page, moves the page away from my post, and doesn't recognize all img formats.

Those coal trains in WY are one car short of a mile long so they can fit on a spur from what I've been told. I like the 80 mph on I-25 too...

I think it's great. This allows you to upload and post your photo in the post in a manner that used to require a third party hosting site.

Interesting about the trains being one car short. I would have never guessed, and all I know is that was one LONG train... As for the 80 mph, that was on I-84 in Idaho and Utah and I-80 in parts of Wyoming. I-25 south from Wyoming was a slow and car packed 75 mph.

I always use a third party which makes the the feature here on fte suck for posting the pic. Half the time it doesn't recognize the link as an image because there might be a 1 at the end of the img tag or something like that. Plus it is slow as molasses. lol

This is what I have resorted to doing as well but I miss just click, click, click, done.
