Got a complete set of CAC boots for the Ex and replaced them all on Sunday.
The end results
This job was pretty simple and the borrowed topside creeper was a big part of the ease of work. I can now agree with those on the forum who say to use them.
Well, it had been long enough and i'd been putting off oil changes in both my Expedition and Excursion. Stopped on my way home and got motorcraft filters, Mobile 1 full synthetic oil and jumped to it. went very quickly and easily no jacks or stands just crawl under the truck and get'er done!
I finally put tow mirrors on the Ex today. Scored a pair from a 2007 F250 on Craigslist and got the pigtails wired this morning. I got the mirrors bolted on this afternoon but had to run in the house due to one of our lovely Florida sudden torrential rainstorms. I'll get pics once it stops raining and I can get the door panels back on.
And yes, its been a while since I gave the Ex any love so she needed it!
Had my lie o meter go out, so I replaced it with new rather than re-solder. Getting ready for a road trip to CT. Later this month, so I guess I'll look under the hood and say hello (lol) and filler up. The EX has been flawless (except for the lie o meter). Although I have a ton of money in this one, I do not regret it one bit. I'm still very much into my EX and get daily compliments on her, 3 today.
Anyway, miss being here but I took on a new hobby (amateur radio) so I took some time to study and get my license and to setup my kick butt station. Know that everything is setup I can dedicate more time to writing about my passion (the EX) here on FTE.
I took the Ex to the stealership today, they checked for any outstanding recall, there were none, and reflashed the PCM, cut a new key and washed her for me. We have a small road trip planned for this Saturday, we are driving to the Ape Caves in southern Washington, so fingers crossed all goes flawless!
