Changed the brake pads on all fours holy freaking hell. Since for the summer it sits I have time to do all it needs before I take it out for the winter, But someone should have said how a pain in the a** it is to take the caliper slide bolts off, well needles to say that two bolts didn't come off. I had to go to local parts store and by new caliper mounting brackets and slide pins. I few hours, allot of choice words and I mad wife that told me I love that stupid truck more than her, I got er done.

Did you search? Lots and lots of brake threads talking about this very subject.

I believe pretty much every brake job involves some kind of new pins or bracket/both.

I was able to get all mine out, make sure they are very clean and use GOOD caliper grease when putting them back together.

Well I read something about that but not in depth and I was hoping not to have that problem. The issue was that I didn't not do it right 2 years ago when I didnt know this was a common issue. But now I know, and trust me I will be taking alot better care of those pins and brackets!

Smile Installed the 5Star Livewire tuner

Wow this thing is great. Running on th 87 econo tune for just 35 miles of city driving. Stayed at or above 11.5 not matter how hard i drove from stop light to stop light. Tomorrow want to d some freeway driving o n th e 15. If I can get city @10 or 11 and long highway miles at 13 14 I will be happy. Even without the big MPG gains the truck drives like a new truck and this is only the 87 econo tune. once i see the average MPG gain from this i will switch to the 87 performance tune. Question please... When I leave th live wire plugged in it doesn't sam to shut off. Will this drain my battery? Also looking for a way to mount it permanately. Any good write ups or pictures?
