Made progress

Well I pulled the valve cover off the passenger side and yup you know it.....

I fell victim to the UVCH clip coming un-done!!!!

The good news is the members on FTE are great and have a solution for almost anything.

Got too dark so tomorrow I will button her all up and start it up.

I was getting a bit discouraged but now I am pretty excited. My X has been out of commission for a few weeks due to not having time to fix. Now maybe I have time for some P..M..S...ing.

First off, welcome home... I too have a bunch of projects sitting in the back of the truck waiting to get done. Time is hard to find. Secondly, I see you're still using the same alignment tool. I have a very faithful one myself. I like the additions to Hera, I've been thinking about those floorliners myself. Do you still have your old emblem? I'd be interested in taking it off your hands if so. Name: mr47_04.gif

TXtinct,

Thank you for the welcome home, And yes, the same alignment tool, I have had that coozie/Alignment Tool for 29 years and counting, if it could talk I probably would not have a girlfriend... and in regards to the old emblem I dumpstered it this morning on my way to work, sorry. I still do have the Oh ***** handle from my driver's side that I offered to you when I installed my gauge post...

Spacers from Fred came in today. Talk about a hunk of metal. Shipping weight for 4 was 63lbs. I'm getting tires mounted tomorrow and gonna put them on on Saturday then it is off to Firestone for their lifetime alignment. Not looking forward to cutting/grinding off the tip of the studs in a rotating hub.

I think of it that my Ex just turned 40. Still kicking strong but it goes downhill from here.

Put the X back together after installing the UVCH clips on the passenger side. It started right up and is purring like a kitten.

I am one happy X owner and out of pocket only about $100 for parts and supplies.

I will do the drivers side UVCH clips maybe this weekend as preventative maintenance.

I thought about the 2008 20's and even the 2004 18's, but I like the factory mags too much to look into it.

I agree, Tor, I have the same wheels and really like them. Only wish they didn't have 10 years of MN winter wear on them
