no I mean the up and down lines on the grille, they look silver like the decal instead of white.

Oh yes, the grill is two tone to match the two tone eddie bauer scheme of the X. Oxford white and Arizona beige.

I filled up somewhere in Tennessee today and diesel was $3.99/gal. That's the cheapest I've bought on my trip so far. I didn't reallly need fuel but needed to use the bathroom more. But thought, well, I'll just top off. Glad I did. The highest was $4.29

540 miles today - whew! The truck has performed so well. I usually avg. 16.6 MPG. Towing the trailer today it's gone down to 16.5. Not bad I think. I'm pretty proud of the beast. Even though my butt is tired of sitting in it after a long day like that! And I gotta get a new radio with nav. HA! I use the AT
&T nav on my iPhone. POS! (sorry, I just blurted that out). On my way to Owensboro I had stopped to fuel up in Oceola (not sure what state that's in - AR or TN or maybe MO - LOL!). Anyway, I fueled up with the 18 wheelers - that's fun. Pulled around and went in to use the facilities and get a drink. As I'm walking thru the Shell station all of a sudden my AT&T Nav blurts out "you are exceeding the speed limit". I was like - WTH? Goofy thing. She had me lost twice on Tuesday.

Well I tried to use it:
1.because no one answered me before I lost patience
2.they said I don't have to send back the broken part
3.I am dying to see what it looks like
4.I can't drive without headlights!

It isn't lining up just right and I'm not sure if it's something I did wrong or if it's just because nothing lines up just right on the first try when you are changing stuff. kwim? I LOVE the lights, I just wish I could get them to go ON! The crack doesn't seem to be making the header loose or wobbly. So I actually think it might be okay, if I can just get the damn thing to line up right. I may have to cut on the header some. WELL, I DO have to cut on the header some for the AIS to get air. But I have to cut on it some where the headlights go too. Maybe I should have just kept the other header and cut it instead....sheesh.

Talking

Went to the shop today with my girlfriend to retrieve her '02 Ford Focus which was leaking break fluid. Turned out to be a bad clutch cylinder.

Took some pictures of my Excursion. There are still a couple things left to do on it. My shade tree mechanic has been really busy this past month collecting sap and not working on my truck. At any rate he had it outside because he had just finished up with the car. He did a damn fine job fabbing up some swaybar links. The Hellwig links were trash and much too short. He used some un-bent big rig U-bolts for the links, they came out really well, and beefy.

I also went down to look at some 20" wheels with 37" Nitto Mud Grapplers on them. Ended up picking up the whole set for $450. The tires are fairly beat, but I can put a few miles on them.

Oh yea, and my new grille isn't nearly as nice as all of these other recent grille swaps, but the price was right and it is way better than stock.

Here is a pic of those 20" wheels and 37" tires I got for $450

Looking great CC. Glad the rear sway bar is working out. The problem you had, is it because of the lift or because of the way the rear sway bar is just made? I want to get it but I have no idea how to do all that fabricating of stuff. Need very detailed directions as a general rule! lol
