Interesting about the tire load on the sticker, mine does not say one way or the other on the sticker, but then mine is a diesel.

As for the cut in the frame, I never noticed one, so, when I am mobile again, I will have to take a look. Where exactly is it at?

Replaced mangled rear bumper from PO with a salvage good bumper from the yard. 2 new tires on the rear.

Frame is made like that to fold there in a hard front collision. Never seen one fail there even in severe duty.

Sorry, I did not remember that you were rolling a 7.3

Since mine is a 2003, there are many differences between our stickers.

As for the cut, I have looked through all my photos of the underside of the Ex, but can't see anything. I gess I will just have to climb under there once my foot allows me too...

Can confirm the crumple area - mine was checked in recent accident

No damage/crumpling was found and that's a-ok with me

that kinda clean hole is the upper sway bar mounting point in the picture so look behind that.

I was pretty darn sure that was the split for used to mate different front ends of frames with different rear sections? 4x4 front with X/regular cab/extended cab/4 door rear and whatnots.

Yes, the front frame rails are common with super duty. This helps with cost. For example pick ups have common front and rear rails, the middle is changed for wheel base and cab/box configuration.

Hm, I was sure that my mechanic went right under the truck to check the factory "crumple zone" in that area - I must be confused about where he was looking

Have you seen a lot of Super Duties break in two at that frame joint Skip? I think you will be fine, your Ex hasn't snapped in two yet has it?
