I have been thinking of a dash cam for all my vehicles as well. I have been looking at several but just haven't puled the trigger. I can also check with some of my contacts oversees and see what I type of deal I can get us?

 

Mine is identical to the number one on that list except it's the capacitor type. You will see that same camera with many names on the market. It really does take great videos. I will have to upload some new ones. I do however like the idea of WiFi to easily get the videos from the device. The micro SD cards can be fiddly and it messes with where you had it aimed each time you take it out.

 

Dumped the factory auto hubs in favor of a set of Warn premium manual hubs. Installed a TowMaster dual view pyro. Installed a 10" tablet holder and a pair of auxiliary LED driving lights. Busy two days.

 

I didn't do anything to mine since I'm traveling this week for work but I did see this behind my hotel. Pretty cool, thought I'd share it, sorry for the poor quality pic.

I would love a good dash cam! However, I am pretty picky.

I am looking for one that I can leave plugged in an record in 12 or 24 hour loops where I don't have to clear it, or turn it on or off, ever. I haven't watched any of those videos on the dash cams because my internet doesn't allow me a lot of data, but I am all game for one I don't have to sort through weeks of recordings to find a single event or trip to save.

 

I went ahead and decided to put a little personality on my Excursion.

I picked up some Rotella HD ELC. Also got a aluminum thermostat housing, 203* stat, gasket, and bolts shipped to me for under 70$ , planing on doing a flush, and a new upper hose when I install the stat.

 

Well got the flush done, ended up using the welder to get things done. Broke a bolt off on the stat housing, welded a nut on to get the bolt out. It worked nice as always. Have a 203* stat, aluminum housing, a new upper hose n fresh coolant. I couldn't believe all the crap that came out of the rad/block/tank

Got up this morning and decided i wanted to have breakfast and a new place close to home, it's always packed since the day it opened, which seems to happen every time something new comes to town. Anyway i walk out and this has happened a few times now where I come out to find a Prius next to me which wasn't there when i parked...maybe trying to offset the environmental impact of the parking lot? haha




Then saw this old chevy car on what looked to be a Blazer frame.




And filled up the Ex for next to nothing!



All in all a pretty damn good day so far!
