Getting ready for plug change this weekend. You see the one thing missing? Anti seize.... dont know if I am going to use it yet? Motorcraft plugs are already nickel plated so dont know if I really need it.

Finished putting brakes on the front of the Ex.

I started Sunday. SUNDAY! New pads, spring kits, hub, and tools in hand I embarked on what should have been a 2 hour job in this Florida heat.

One of the caliper slide pins on the right side was frozen. And I do mean frozen. Wouldn't budge. On the 3rd day, I finally got the pin out, only to learn that the corrosion/debris in the slide was so bad that the new pin wouldn't insert. Some quick thinking (after talking to 4 different people in search of ideas) I spent the next 45 minutes with a chain (round) file and was able to make it good as new.

But she's fine now.

On the test drive I got to rescue someone that had run out of gas literally in front of a gas station AND had a dead battery. It's amazing how a lending a hand for 10 minutes makes you feel so much better.

As far as the X goes I just can't seem to get out of my rut and finish putting in the heat shields and inner fenders back in. Still haven't re-torqued the studs either. I was starting to do a little better but then my AC totally went out on the X (or so I thought). I drove around all day pissed that my truck was falling apart after "I have done for it" and wanted to cry. Turns out Wendy had driven it the day before and had the temp set on 75 so that's why it never "cooled off". For anyone that thinks I'm just posting for attention go **** yourself, I could care less and don't want or need pity. I only say this because I'm an extremely open person, have a lot of trust in the forum, and want to be understood.
Hey man....glad it was just the spousal unit having adjusted your climate controls....can't tell you how many times I've gotten in and the wife has adjusted any number of things in my truck to how she likes them.....mind you we are about the same height but our drive set up is vastly different glad you back brother

Re-torqued the springs and changed a rear wheel seal that blew out last night. I had just changed the differentail fluid last weekend so timing seems odd, checked the vent and it's clear.

Ex related stuff out of me...what?

So I drove the Ex today because i'm heading out friday with the trailer and my F-150 which has a full tank of fuel and i figured i'd save it so i don't have to stop on the way out of town. felt great to be in the Ex again! Loving the new tinted windows also

When i took the Ex up north in May i removed the 3rd row and my 15" sub. Today after driving it and not having any bass i had to put it back in...i can rattle my tow mirrors again and make my tassel hanging from my rear view mirror dance all over the place.

been taking up space in the garage

FINALLY figured out a decent way to park everything in the driveway so i don't have to shuffle cars around to get one in/out.

Yeah, I don't know why pics with Apple products refuse to orient correctly even when altered with a program like MS Picture Manager.

What I have to do is upload the pic to my Photobucket page, change the orientation and edit the pic on my Photobucket page using the P/bucket tools, then right click and save as back to my computer, then either upload that newly edited image back to Photobucket, or attach it through FTE. This fixes the orientation problem and allows the pic to be viewed without hurting ones neck or rotating the monitor.

Holy cow, I don't go through all that...I just buy Android to use in my Excursion (on topic).

My wiper reservoir had a severe leak. Pulled the battery and battery tray, unbolted the reservoir and pulled it out. I thought i would find a big crack in the tank, but one of the hoses had chafed and wore a whole through it, then worked its way off the nipple. So, i cut off the bad part of the hose and reconnected it. Put some water in the tank and No leaky. Bolted it back up and re-installed battery. Savings: $80 dollars (price of a new reservoir). I like when things work out like that.
