Can't be any worse than it was!

Of course you didn't hear it, it only does it when turning at full lock or close, or when changing from reverse to drive with the wheels turned.

BTW the F-150 is slightly longer then the Excursion.

David, no my Excursion has a open rear end so donuts, it does not do very well

I replaced both tow mirrors with aftermarket parts I bought on Amazon. They bolted right on. The hardest part was pulling off that goey silver sound-proofing tape that covered the inside of the door panel. The previous owner had all the doors soundproofed when he had speakers installed. I had to replace the mirrors because I "tapped" them both a few times coming under our carport :-) I also replaced and flushed the coolant with Ford Motorcraft Gold.

Anyone have any experience with 285/75/16 Wrangler Duratracs?

Almost slid backwards into an apartment building after losing steam going up a hill today. No more skimping on cheap tires. I can't even get going from a stop with slush on the ground on a small incline with these 245 racing slicks I have on now without 4x4.

Also, I have that stock Excursions can take a 285 tire, will this hold true?

Cheers,

Nate

Yes, many opt to replace their 265's with 285's. Very common to do so.
