Went on Vacation for week so I parked the ex at the airport to fly south. It had a week battery when I left because i haven't had time to buy a new one yet. Came back and expected to get a jump so the airport loaned me a jump box to start er' up. Before I hooked up the jump box I tried to crank it. Fired right up with no issue

We are REALLY missing the X today as we roll toward FL with 2 boys, 65lb mutt, me and all our junk...

The X is in KS waiting for new engine to be built.

The boys have spotted 7 Excursions so far today!

You're going to the east coast right? My dad is in St. Pete, honk when you get there. It's small enough, he may hear you.

I can try to get a pic next time I'm out at the '05, which will be in the next couple days.

That would be much appreciated! It is something that anyone looking at newer model Excursions to purchase should check and verify that it is still in place.

OK, I made a note to take a pic tomorrow when I'm out there.

It certainly would be a good thing for people to check on the newer ones! We still haven't figured out exactly what years this affects yet though.

I just looked up on the catalog for Horizon Ford: It says the tool bag and tools apply to those built 11/4/02 and up, so basically anything in 7.3 territory has engine tools and anything in 6.0 territory has the bag tools. Can anyone with a later '03 confirm this?

To add to the thread, I was thinking about washing the black one today as it got dirty running around to get this rollover paid off and delivery arranged. It's a nice clear, sunny day here, about 42 degrees. But I decided against it since there's a 70% chance of rain turning to snow tomorrow when I have to go take delivery of this thing. Hopefully I can wash it sometime soon, it's bothering me.

Oh, I also did the instrument cluster test today. Found and read about it last night, but I had to back it out of the garage today to get tools and stuff loaded up for tomorrow, so I figured I'd try it out. Neat stuff.

Finished painting my rear bumper and went to the park for a few pics. I also painted the tow hitch. It was a bit faded.

Deleted the muffler on the X just for giggles. Sounds a bit raspy but you can really hear that turbo sing now!

Also changed the oil, did the fuel filters and installed a Fumoto valve.

I forgot to mention, I ordered my exhaust yesterday. I shopped around and found someone who had it on sale, but the sale ended yesterday. I think I'll be getting everything else from Clay. Went with the MBRP 4" stainless...

Noticed that the leather on the steering wheel is deteriorating so I installed a steering wheel cover. Not real happy with the appearance, so I'm now in the market for a new steering wheel.

The F150 apparently feels a bit neglected and has turned her back on the operation....
