Right, but it still should show no effects unless the needles are bad (just assuming here). Under normal conditions both stub axles are spinning backwards in relation to the hubs but with one locked one needle bearing isn't spinning and the other is spinning at double speed in the same direction it always spins (backwards in relation to the hub). The only time the axles spin forward is when they are locked, otherwise they are still, (and virtually spinning backwards or opposite direction of the hubs since the the hubs are doing the spinning).

No experience on the X, but in the past I have run the wires to the rear hatch then snaked them in the jam and through the access for the third brake light. Keeps things clean and avoids punching a new hole and opening the possibility for leaks. Makes it a bit of a PITA running power to them, but if LED's are being used the wires don't need to be gigantic to get the power, and you also don't suffer from the power drop associated with longer wires - at least nowhere near as much.

Skip, in the tech folder there is a link to Motoman's how-to on installing Ford overhead clearance lights.

Now that there is a common sense look at the bright side response. Right is indeed way better than left, well in this country anyway.

I had a squeak before (right front) the rotation so doubt it's anything major or was it caused by running 10 miles with one locked. The hub is coming off Sunday so I can get a good look at the brake and bearing. The wheel has already established itself as needy, wants a complete R&R every 6 month or it gets lonely...

It's possible that your front shaft was turning due to excessive friction in the spiders or a non-open diff. You can wire the shaft to the frame etc to eliminate that and experiment with a "one locked hub" again.

I do stuff, forget to take pics because i want to get the job done, then post a boring pic-less paragraph about it. I need a shop to forget the camera in.....I just have a 2 car garage 80' from my house.

Im sure whatever it is you did is cool with other cool stuff happening around it. I get to do cool stuff but Im not allowed to take pictures of it. I know this, I'll be firing up a car this weekend that has a "KK" number.

Getting ready for oil cooler and STC fitting, got the turbo off tonight as well as a bunch of other stuff. Removing the turbo is not that bad to do, everything is coming apart easily. I am amazed that the Ex is easier to work on than my 3.1L Pontiac Sunbird. The only difference is there is a little more reach needed to the back of the engine compartment.

Took the tall one to school (my oldest one), stopped at the local market and picked up some fresh made donuts, then brought them home to spoil the wife and kids. Luckily I didn't need to take middle, small, and tiny with me when I went to pick up tall and go to the chiropractor this evening.
That makes for some interesting times if not planned and executed properly!

Worst part of the interior is EVERYTHING is sticky. I'm pretty sure a can of soda blew up in here.

And some freebie mods for now, different grill and removed the side cladding. I need to pick up an eraser wheel to get the adhesive off still. Then a good scrubbing, inside and out.

My truck this is a replacing is an old 1st gen dodge diesel. I really like the truck, but I when I bought it I only really needed to transport myself (towing built up jeep at the time). Well hobbies changed and now we are racing dirt bikes and while my enclosed trailer can transport 4 bikes, I couldn't transport all the riders.

It is a v10, which is quite unfortunate. On the plus side, I do seem to have this old 1st gen dodge with a cummins in it sitting here now with no purpose
