Easy stuff for me!

I had two minor repairs this week. The Windshield washer pump went out and the break light switch on the break peddle died. Both are fixed now.

I can stop safely without surprising any Hyundai's that are following to closely, and I can wash the windshield whenever I want.

So far so good.

That's why I buy a new one every time it gets a scratch or ding.

Well, in April I put brand new Ford pads on the X and the right rear caliper locked up and ruined them. So a local shop(happened on way to work) put reman'd Ford calipers and new Ford pads on again, just 3 weeks after I put the new ones on, and it looks like I have to do it again. After dropping my son off at the football game, the right rear caliper seized up again and got the entire assembly smokin' hot!!! You would know it would be on a weekend and the dealer closed. Damn it!

I have heard many like the ones posting here that they work well somehow. But it just doesn't make sense.

It really doesn't to me also... I'm using the stick on kind on the inside part of the rim, I did loose one on my CT trip so I couldn't drive at Russ speed but she was ok up to about 75.

I have no idea! The first(original) caliper had over 200k miles on it and I had just put new pads on it. In talking with the parts manager and 2 of the techs when getting them, they stated that the Ford rear calipers were known to seize especially after putting new pads on them and having the piston pushed all the way back in. All of them are friends of mine and weren't getting paid a dime and all agreed. Said they see it quite frequently in the '00 and up rear ones. I even had new lines installed going to the calipers just in case the internal rubber hose was disintegrating.

It sounds like the calipers are getting corrosion behind the pistons or a ridge built up deeper in the bores.

There probably is an explanation somewhere and the inventor seems to be lurking in the shadows also.

I don't see how you can put 8 oz of beads in a tire that's only out of balance by a couple oz and have it work out.....

But I might have to try something different...

The way it was explained to me, each tire size has a specific amount of "beads". I'm looking to upgrade my tires in the next few months, I will definetly give it a try....can't hurt.

Well I'm thinkin about getting something and sticking in the tires. I'm not happy with how other people balance tires... I'd do it myself but don't have access to a machine anymore..
