What is header knock ?

I was puttin the shock towers back on, and them nuts with the flat tabs on them, well I managed somehow to smash my finger between the tab and the frame when I hit the trigger on the impact. Guess I had my finger in the wrong place at the wrong time.

N now here it is....

I had to put both shock mounts back on, the inner fenders, the mud flaps and remaining y pipe back exhaust with that finger in a band aid. Lol
Holy batman ouch! Can imagine the language that followed...

Older trucks you'll need to run your own wires.

I have turn signals on my 01, I'm waiting for the mirrors at 1a auto to come back in stock.

Let's see I guess since I finished at three AM I can post this about today.

I changed out all of the original 102,000 mile boots and plugs for Autolite Iridiums, I changed out the oxygen sensors, I changed the fuel filter, and I swapped the original shocks out for a set of Monroe Reflex. I also installed my new aftermarket in-dash DVD/radio/bluetooth/kitchen sink and my back up camera. All in all I am pretty proud of myself and think that is not bad for a days work. It's amazing what I can do when my wife isn't constantly asking if I am done yet. Next on the list is ordering an on sale SCT tuner from Mike and maybe a y-pipe.

Quick question. Do I need to reset the computer after everything I did? The idle seems a bit higher at start up.

Basically a ticking sound from inside the header pipes.

No one would mess with my place, unless they were really crazy. My landlord and neighbors have reputations and guns.

It wouldn't be a bad idea with the new 02's. Did you pull the battery cable while you were doing the stereo and what-not? If so you already did...

I actually did not disconnect the battery. I just pulled the fuse. The previous owner did a hack job when he installed a CD player that I think was actually older than the vehicle. It kept popping the fuse so I just pulled the ones that went to the radio. Plus I was working by the interior lights...

heres my Lowes lawn edging homemade air dam. Figured new Super Duties get a bit more mileage, so it is an inexpensive test to save a few bucks.
