The pictures really do not do them justice, but let it be so. Taken with I phone, as the digital camera added its own light to take the shot. NOT real camera savy on this end.
SPECS: Aurora 50" single row LED bar with 5watt Oslon led per "bulb", combination pattern.
Some pictures of the LED bars in night action.
Day time running lights, cheepo led lights on front bumper
low beam HID headlights
high beam HID headlights
headlights and LED bar
LED bar only
high beam only
LED bar and high beam
Real hard to see on the pics, but the 50" bar has a usable light into the 300-450 meter range, and puts light out into the beyond. I would say 1000 meters, but I did not have a range finder with me. LOL
I do still need to get on the open road, with NO cars and adjust the height just right. That will come in time.

I have been looking at getting the LED bars for close to 2 years, but just couldn't justify the expense to the RIGID industries $ on bars.
I got a decent tax return this year, and started shopping again, and one of our fellow FTE's suggested I look into the Aurora brand. They are a direct china knock off of Rigid. I order the min 10 direct from factory. Installed the 2 onto my truck, and have since sold 5, with only 3 left, and have already put in another order for 10 more to sell.
Once the second batch is sold I will have my 2 lights free, and some spending money for the trouble, and experimenting on my truck. lol Maybe even continue something on the side.

Ahh ok found it, mines not that lopey, well it was yesterday for a bit until I figured out I had an intake hose laying loose. But it's close to that now. Got some serious power now, will screech the rear tires and the tunes aren't even installed yet. But was leaking so bad before she was a dog that couldn't get out of her own way.
The X has been put on notice. Today I placed a deposit on this:
Once I pick it up on Wednesday I need to have the dealer fix the drone that started after the manifold replacement and then it'll be up for sale. It kills me to have to sell it, but between the constant repairs and the payment on my Fusion it's time to make a change.

LUCKY! At least you get enough to make it worth while. The last two days all we've gotten is sloppy wet snow showers that just mess up all the roads and my (formerly) clean truck! I hate the in-between weather, either snow or spring!

Repairs are usually cheaper than payments on a newer vehicle....
And.. what's more fun than to fix issues with the help of this forum ?
That's true, but at the moment I have both repairs and payments on a newer vehicle! The X is paid off, but another 4 years on the Fusion. My thinking is that I can get (halfway) respectable fuel economy as well as no out of pocket repairs on a vehicle that can pull my trailer.

So you drill holes a certain depth and then use a stud gun to put them in? Can you buy a small amount of studs? Do they just come in like size 17 or 18? Can you put bigger ones in? Do they all have aluminum casings?
the studs my place uses are all steel studs, i stupidly bought a set of firestones from sears for my expedition and they use aluminum studs...bad idea they wear much faster. i'll be restudding next year with steel or pull them and use them on my plow truck.
sold my explorer this morning, then went to lunch with a friend. after that went to buy groceries at fred myers. busy parking lot with alot of people...so i just parked on the curb which in the summer has wood chips and crap in it..winter time it makes perfect truck parking. i came out to a 5'3" lady parking her yellow super duty right next to me...AWESOME! but the 8-14" of snow we are getting is making the roads horrible..glad i kept the snow tires on!
