The tuner is a do it yourself project, as easy or easier than the gauges. Just make sure the keys are in the next county when plugging it into the PCM.
Oh really? I thought you had to get it all "custom tuned" i know there are the "off the shelf" chips that you can just throw in. But isn't the custom tuning the whole reason that you go with the tuner? And it's bad news if your keys are in the ignition huh? did not know.
Whichever tuner you call, dp, php, etc, will get the type of PCM from your truck, ask you what mods you have, then make the chip up with the different tunes you request specific to your truck. yes, down the road, a live tuning session with that tuner will tweak it out a little more, get every last drop out of your truck, but they are ready to go when they come in the mail.
Oh sweet! Thanks for the info. That's good to know. Where is the best place to buy the DP tuner? and do you have a link for the DIY install? Gauges then DP tuner are next on the list. I think i remember looking at them on riffraff but they had a whole bunch of drop downs for options and I had no idea what to do with them.
Heres what mine look like and where I got them. ISSPRO Enhanced Visibility gauge kit images at DieselManor.com Even had extra parts but everything you need for a complete install, no running to the store. Here's the package ISSPRO Gauge Kits for Ford Powerstroke from DieselManor. Heres a install page Gauge Installations at DieselManor- 1999-2003 7.3L Powerstroke but DM sends a complete install directions, so complete you can't go wrong, very easy a caveman can do it. Of course I got these before Clay was in business so I'd call him first and ask him to put you a set together. Also, IMO, go with the 4 pillar and as for a blind spot, its no better than that grip handle that your removing to install, no biggie. Mine are from the top, pyro, boost, trans..

right on! thats what i was lookin for. I was super scared to try to buy all of these parts and pieces seperately. I knew it would be a disaster. Thanks
Heres mine but I don't have a nite shot but even though I liked the white pointer and different lighting, I stayed with the stock cluster lighting so it all matched, kinda look like its from the factory if you will.
