cant for the life of me get my truck to start while its hooked up. i turn the key, i hear a click and the lights dim a bit, i try cranking but it just keeps cranking and doesnt fire up. i know people are gonna say clean the connections better but to be honest i think if they were cleaned any better i would get to bare copper

Make sure you have it plugged into the selector unit correctly. If I remember right, you can still plug it in upside down and it won't start.

will double check next time i get around to the install, but pretty positive it was all plugged in correctly.....the fact that i was sent super duty instructions for the install makes me think they sent me a chip burned for a superduty 7.3.....any chance on that?

Did you buy it new?
If it is used it may be for an entirely different setup than yours.

No the install is the same, just the location of the PCM is a bit different. Have you tried switching to a different tune to see if it will start? Did you have the keys in the ignition when you pulled the PCM?
