Should I drain some Trans Fluid

So I flushed my c6. I got rid of the slight shudder I had at times shifting into 3rd. My fluid level is in between the 2 dots (holes) when the trans is not warmed up and is slightly above the hashmark when at full operating temp (probably 3/16" above). It sits just below where the dipstick starts to twist. I know you don't want to overfill the trans. Should I drain out a little so it is right in the hashmark hot, or am I over thinking it?

Also, is there a trick to easily reading the trans dipstick? When it's cold the ATF is thick enough that it sticks in the holes and is easy to see. At operating temp it doesn't and is tough to see where it stops, especially when it's new and clean.

I wouldn't worry about that small an amount myself.
