if it is a four speed manual than it isnt a c6 as a c6 is an automatic.....if it is the manual it sounds like you may have bad linkage (look and see if it has internal or external linkage), or clutch is worn out....does it grind into gear, out of gear.....have you checked the fluid...is it a hydraulic clutch or standard? let us know so we can better help you.
thanks for leting me no it isnt a c6 alright back to the trans the fluid is good its a stanked linkage not hydrolic and i think its externail linkge and what kinda of tranny do i have in the truck its a 4 speed

Best way to check is to dive under the truck and read any info you can find on the trans. There were a number of different 4-speeds used.
As part of running this down, check your firewall for flex where the clutch pedal is attached.
Slop and flex will rob you of travel at the throwout bearing, leading to difficult engagement when stopped. While moving, you may get by a while longer.
