I voted long bed. I have a CC LWB SRW F350 and it rides so nice...even unloaded it's not bad. Plus, I put a huge low profile toolbox up front and I still have decent room to haul stuff in the bed. I mostly pull trailers with cars and it's nice to have a lockable place to store all the tiedowns, winch, and other misc stuff I need. Behind the seat is not an option for me since it's also my DD right now and there is a car seat in the way.

My dad has a twin to my truck that he farms with, and the extra bed space is a must have. Toolbox plus 165 gallon fuel tank would eat up most of the 6ft bed, so he went with 8ft.

As far as the difference in turning...not an issue for me, you get used to it.

Long bed. Why? Because its better to have the space and not need it then to need it and not have it.

I voted long bed. I have a short bed right now and honestly it has been great for anything I needed and I like it. However, that little bit of extra length opens up opportunities for a larger slide in camper, if desired, or better 5th wheeling. My next truck will probably be a long bed for the added flexibility. Parking is not an issue where I live.

I vote for long bed. Short beds are only good for carrying coolers and lawn chairs.

Short bed for me. I like the extra maneuverability and it wouldn't fit in my driveway if it were any bigger.

Long bed gets my vote. IMO as a guy who formerly didn't want such a long truck, once you decide to go with a long box you will never go back. When you already start with a crew cab the extra 18 in isn't going to matter, as stated above you get used to it.

I voted long bed because if you are having doubts you should just go long and not look back. Now for me, it's a short bed because I like the look better and I just don't have a need for another 1.5' of bed. Besides, I have a little trailer for hauling crap in.
