6.2 V-8 IN 3.73 OR 4.30 RATIO
Going to order a F-250 6.2 Crew Cab in 6ft box to pull 30ft. travel trailer that is about 9000 to 10000lbs loaded and was needing some opinions on the 3.73 or 4.30 rear axle ratio?

My 2 cents is 4.30 gears with the 6.2L. You will like the 6.2L and its 6 speed trans controls. At 55 mph in 6th gear with the 4.30's rpms will be 1600-1700 rpm.

I'm pretty sure he's referring to the NEW Ford 6.2L engine, and just posted in the wrong section.

the new ford engine is a 6.7 liter though, not a 6.2.

The gasoline engine is a 6.2L.
Like I said, it appears that he posted in the wrong section since the 6.7L diesel is not offered with a 4.30 gear.

That's why I can only assume that they posted in the wrong section.
