Will a thunderbird distributor with a tach drive fit into the 256 yblock? Some people have told me that there is an issue with the gear on the end of it.

FAE12390A .. 14 Tooth Y Block (239/256/272/292/312) Distributor Gear / Obsolete

Fits: 1954/59 Passenger Cars/Trucks / 1955/57 T-Birds.

Note: Some 1954's came with a 13 tooth gear.

If my 54 has a 13 tooth gear then can I change the gear??
