My 97 F350 4x4 has the ZF 5-speed, and still less than 20,000 miles. Every now and then...and not very often...my transmission will pop out of 1st gear under acceleration, empty or pulling, hard or soft start. Other than that, all the gears seem to engage fine with no funny noises or vibrations. What could be causing this?
