re: does this count?

It may not be in the realm of what the op had in mind, but we'll take it.

I saw a working truck on a movie on TV tonight. It was Back to the Future, Part III. Doc Brown went back to 1885 to the Wild Wild West and buried the Delorean Time Machine in an abandoned mine. It was 1955 when they pulled it out. Doc and McFly used a Ford tow truck that was a 48-50 model, you know the kind some people call a monkey face. pretty cool, I saw the movie before but never noticed the Tow truck until today!!

And it was a working truck, earning its keep on a movie...

Is it any wonder why flatties we find nowadays are worn out?! I wonder if this poor truck had a worm-gear axle, 20:1 ??

That last "steam powered" p.o.s. is in the Pioneer Auto Museum in Murdo, SD. Also for sale last I saw the ad for it. Stu

The problem with America today is stupidity. I'm not saying we should punish the stupid people, but perhaps take the safety labels off everything and let the problem solve itself
