I just got the number for both my 04 F-250 and my 02 excursion the excursion was ezer to find cuz there is no insolation but I new ware to look on the truck. but pull both the radio and the trash bag holder and slide out the cup holder. when you pull out the radio you will see a horisantal bar and behind the bar against the fire wall there is a black box with a bunch of wires going into it move the insolation so you can see the box and you can just see a sticker but no numbers get a light and shine it thru the radio hole and look thu the holder hole to read the sticker its a little chalinging to get the wright angle to see it but it can be done.

I have a easy way for you and you get a new handy tool out of it.
This is how you justify a new video bore scope to the wife.
On this I really lucked out in I already have the scope and
when I opened the owners manual I still had the card with
the code on it in the pocket in the guide.
Also next time you stop in to buy some parts or filters ask the
parts guy "By the way can you please"

I couldn't see it without the mirror and flash light. It's way up there. Get a mirror (automative with the extension) stick it up there and shine the flash light on the mirror. you will be almost standing on your head. I have a 2004 F250 and it was there.... found mine without removing anything.good luck
I also did not remove alot of stuff just used a mirror and a flashlight, got a good look at the first 4 numbers and had to guess at the 5th but that didnt take long.

Looked for almost an hour and could not find the box with the factory code. Finally took it to my local dealership and they put it on computer and retrieved the factory 5 digit code. Was told the later production 05's and on do not have the stickers with code on them anymore only pre 05 do. The code is in computer. It cost me $46 for them to get it.

I found an old post in the excursion site that has pictures( computers arent my strong point so no quick connect) IT is tittled KEYLESS KEYPAD CODE it is from 08-01-2006 There are three ways to find the code removing the radio is the hardest I found my buddies in less then five minutes. BY removing the fuse access panel by drivers knees and looking up at an angle behind the radio your looking for a 6x6 cream colored plastic box with a white sticker on it with five digits. It is good for 2002+ super duty and excursions
