1985 E350 Cargo Van No Fuel

Hey guys set my truck on fire with starting fluid. YouTube missed a great opportunity, anyway I have no fuel to this beast. 351motor 85 econoline cargo Van.

Pulling the front tank, bought fuel pump for in the tank, wondering hoiw I can tell if it has a rail pump.

Looking for the fuel relay? Any location? Found a relay on the inner drivers fender wall but not sure if this is it. It is white and not black not others described.

Does this truck have a fuel cut off reset under the passenger kick panel?

No power to the front tank when I turn on the ignition. Rear tank did not work since long before I owned it

Any help would be appreciated. What causes the fuel reset to need to be pushed? Can't find many fuses just some down by the drivers kick panel none under the hood? Does my truck have a fuel reset? Truck will start with starting fluid then die after it burns it.

Know way of knowing if the tank switcher has gone bad. Old truck need help. Thanks again.

Can you all help me out? Thanks

Go to this thread and ask the thread starter. He has a 86 van and says he replaced the relay.

If you do not have fuel injection(I don't think you do) then you do not have a high pressure frame rail mounted pump.

Relay location

He appears to have a Van with a manual fuel pump with one tabk. Mine has the cargo conversion with dual tanks and electric pumps. I found a relay but it is not black mounted on the inner wall of the drivers under hood sidewall. I do not know what this relay does, I tried my lights and they still work. Anybody that has info I would appreciate their knowledge.

How do I test the tank selector switch?

Can you post pictures of the device you're asking about? How about the colors of the wires?

Wires

Colors of wires to the relay are one red two black and one yellow/ I am wondering if it is the fuel guage connector on the top of the tank. It is a round headed two female prong connector. I can't see in there to see if it has a mech fuel pump or not.

I saw your post in the other thread. If you have a 2 wire connector on top of the tank there is no pump in there. You most likely have a carb with a mechanical pump so no fuel pump relay or inertia switch.

Does this help?:

The red wire (Circuit 973) goes to the fuse panel, blacks go to ground.
