Rear axle shaft

ok guys.. this morning my axle shaft bearing broke etc...

so i go t a new axle shaft bearing to replace it tomorrow, is there any like clips that hold the axle shaft in? cause i woulda broke them too...

SEE?!?!?!!?

Yes there are C clips that hold the axle in , its an 8.8 right ? you will need to pull the cover & have a look...Lew

ok... so the chances are that i broke the Cclips also? along with the bearing?

and yeah its a 8.8".

this is the last thing i needed....

the thing that pisses me off the most is that this rear axle was rebuilt 10k miles ago... but idk by who, as i bought it off someone...

The side axle should not come out even if the outer bearing fails, looks like something broke. Considering you are also planning an engine upgrade you should consider adding C-clip eliminators so this type thing doesn't happen again.

well its in the shop now... i popped the diff cover off and stopped there... i wasnt gonna go any further... looks complicated cause it is complicated...

i took pics but accidently left my camera in the truck... will get it later when i stop by the shop...

Well nows the time to upgrade , if it needs a new differential or axles , good time for a gear swap to ..don't want to wast the labor....Lew

ive got 4.10s in it... why would i swap gears?
