IF you did you most likely removed the plastic covers from the bumper brackets that I need!

I'm looking for what I believe are called Tow Hook caps or covers (These are used when truck IS NOT equipped with factory tow hooks.......

There is a rectangular opening in the front bumper brackets for either tow hooks to stick out of or be blocked off with plastic plates......

My '99 had them as my truck wasn't equipped with tow hooks, I sold my '99 bumper complete so using the ones from that aren't possible....

If anyone knows what these things are called, if something other than "caps" or "covers" please let me know.........

If anyone has a set they'd sell I'm all ears!

I have bought several hundred dollars worth of parts for my conversion from Auto nation Ford.

I have bought there many times before, each time their price was well below anyone else, including Ebay sellers.

I have taken a look at the diagram for the front bumper related, including the brackets and have found no mention of the hole cover plates for use w/o tow hooks that I am looking for.....

I guess I'll have to call them in a bit.....

Are you looking for metal or plastic? I think they are the 17E810 fog light delete covers for without tow hook option, but I think you are wise to call them. Those pic's can be very deceiving.

I believe these to be plastic, they were on my '99 setup which I no longer have to look at.
I have seen more '05-'07 trucks in my area without tow hooks than with them.
I tried the number you gave me, it was close but of no help. (Thanks Anyway!)

I called Auto Nation and the parts guy said there was no such part.......

I have also looked at the diagram again for the 2005-07 and there doesn't seem to be any mention of these cover plates.

I also looked at a diagram of a 1999 F350 and no mention of these covers that I know good and well were on my original bumper bracket setup...

Sorry to be such a stickler over something that's probably going to cost less than $20 shipped.......

I can look in the service manual I have for my 07 and see if anything is shown

 

Never seen an 05-07 without tow hooks. Although we have a lot more 4X4 than 2WD around here.

My 2wd has tow hooks.

 

The only 07's I have worked on had tow hooks so I really do not know, we only had 3 in the fleet.
I have to wonder since Ford documentation doesn't show them if maybe they were aftermarket for something.

 

I would have thought tow hooks were an option or part of an option package, and not standard on all '05-'07 Super Duties ...........

Again, All I know is that my '99 bumper setup HAD the plastic covers, plates, caps or whatever they are called because my truck did not come with tow hooks.

I have looked at a diagram of the '99 and the '07 front bumper and found no reference to the covers and know absolutely positively that my '99 setup had them.

 

Time to make your own or find some from other years that fit your application.

The front tow hooks were standard on all Excursions in 2005.

I'm confused.. just because your 1999 didn't have them.. doesn't mean the 2007 didn't have them too..

Here is the original sales brochure for the 2007 F250/F350. You will find the front tow hooks were standard on ALL versions. Doesn't mean they couldn't be deleted..
