Newer edge hoods for a '97 Ranger

I am not going to swear to this but I also have a 97 and know a little bit about the model history. The 97 was the last in the series of the version that first came out in 93. There were major changes in 1998 including a new exterior. There was a change in the front grille and headlights. The turn signal lights went from the side to below the headlights. So know I don't believe you could change just the hood. What I don't know is if you can change the grille and lights to the newer version so as to make the later hood line up. I am not sure if the fender changed to accomodate the different lighting either. So, even if possible, you'd likely be changing out alot of things.

Most people find hoods from junkyards, I don't know of any companies that reproduce OEM body parts

Just found a couple of cool hoods for the 93-97 Ranger on this website:
Custom Hoods / Guaranteed Lowest Prices !
They're around $500-600.
All of a sudden my stock hood is looking pretty good right now . . . :-)

Well, I did say they are available, not cheap by any means. When you see that price, things come into focus a little bit more. Not sure I'd like the fiberglass ones. I did find a good quality steel one for a latter model that looks good but again, it was over $500, that's when I had money and was working full time.

I know this reply is 2 years later but I am bored so here we go. The edge hood will not fit on a 93 to 97 ranger without these mods you will need the core support fenders grill and head lights and header panel off of an edge. Me and my brother did this on his 95 and it came out great I think we used the stuff off an 05 If I remember correctly. Also a bumper if you want it to look right.
