I have had several 7.3 diesels in our family. My dad started it all with the 1990 7.3 one ton. That poor truck went through hell with my dad but it kept going. He sold the the truck a few year before he passed away and the truck is still going believe it or not. The boy that got it souped it up and it runs faster than I ever seen it go. Then I got a 92 7.3 and drove it until it started totally falling apart. It was costing more to keep it going than sell it. So then I got my first 7.3 power stroke in 97. It had a standard transmission in it and it would pull the barn down compared to the old truck. Then with our growing family I needed a crew cab. So in 2007 I got a 2003 power stroke with 36,000 miles on it. It came with custom grill guard and back bumper. I still have it today. It has over 300,000 miles on it and it's as strong as it was when I got it. Now problems are starting to come around and I am at the point of selling it and getting a newer truck or sucking it up and get it fixed. These new trucks are kinda scary to me. I have always fixed my own trucks and looking at these new one I don't think I could even change the oil in them. Well thanks for adding me to the Texas division of Ford-truck- trucks.

Sometimes they will make you pull all the hair out of your head. This 2003 was driving me crazy with a short in the wiring but got lucky today and finally found it.
