coolant flush i need help
I posted yesterday about this but i have another question. I know this is probably basic stuff but i just want to make sure i am doing everything right. Like i said in the last post i just bought an 04 F-250 6.0 turbo diesel with 112000 miles on it. it has green coolant in the resivoir and i want to flush it and put the premium gold in it. can anyone give me kind of a step by step on how to do this. I am a little confused because the ford dealership told me i only needed two gallons of the premium gold, the the owners manual says it holds 27.5 quarts obviously water and coolant together. This doesn't make sense to me, am i missing something? Im not sure if i will be able to get all of the green coolant out, if not and it mixes with the gold is that going to cause problems. Thank you for any help i can get.

you will need 3.5 gallons of the gold coolant.

Degaussing is the process of decreasing or eliminating an unwanted magnetic fields. They used this in WWII to "hide" ships from underwater mines that work off magnetic fields
A degas tank is just a reservoir tank for coolant system.
Its just a case of names that sound similar but two total different jobs. neither are related
