hard to balance a rim that weights a ton, especially with military tires that arent concerned about balancing. you dont balance tires on military trucks. they dont give a crap. you can reduce that weight by "road matching" your tires.

any tire larger then a 35 you should ALWAYS take it to a place that does semi tires. they have way better machines that are built to balance the big stuff. thats where i took my 42's too. they roll them on the machine, it lifts the tires to the machine and slip it right on.

Don't even bother with weights- Use a 2lb jar of heavyweight plastic bbs. They don't corrode and dissolve like steel ones, and work great.

ya, some big trucks use em to balance the tires. They just rotate to the spot needing weight and balance out. They also offer a steel ring that mounts behind your wheel that uses lead powder that does the same. Place in fresno called "east bay tire" has it on display there.

or if you go to a place were they mount and balance big rig tires like oreo said and ford_six about the bbs, they should have some stuff called equal which is the same concept but it is even smaller than the bbs alotta truckers around here swear by it
