Welcome to FTE. Nice looking truck.
Maintenance is key with these things. Regular oil changes, fuel filter, transmission and coolant service regularly.
Beyond that, just keepin ontop of the things it might need. Lifted trucks (mostly the big, heavy tires) put more stress on things like balljoints and U joints.
Most here are going to tell you to get rid of that K&N filter and go with some custom tuning.

Welcome to the forum. There are certainly a bunch of friendly, knowledgeable people around here.
Just to elaborate on what Lisa said, the K&N filters have been reported to allow small particles of dust through them that will kill a diesel engine. Has something to do with the turbo pulling more air through them.
"Coolant service" consists of draining and replacing the coolant to keep it fresh. I have not seen anyone recommend changing the coolant more than once each year.
There are several good exhaust systems. Riffraff Diesel has several that will fit your truck. Most will recommend at least a 4 inch turbo back exhaust. It will allow your truck to get rid of burnt fuel efficiently and lower your exhaust gas temperatures (EGTs). Because of limitations in the turbo, the 5 inch exhaust is only slightly more efficient, but a whole lot harder to install. Some like the sound of the 5 inch.
Enjoy your truck, and again, welcome to the family.

most people around here have jody tune their trucks (dp-tuner) they are really good folks... do not get any canned tuners they have some adverse side effects occasionally, also get rid of the k&n and get a 6637 it will be a good idea and its cheap if you are close to tn Riff raff is having an event near Knoxville and he has the 6637 kits.... Both Jody and Clay (RRDP) are really good guys and will hook you up

I wil look into it. Also, the truck has a bit of white smoke at start up. I've briefly searched into it but i don't get all the acronyms yall are using,so what could it be and how can i fix it?? (I'm in florida,so it's not exactly a cold start)
I was also told the truck has dana 60's under it.

The easiest way to begin testing the GPR is to 1: install a 12V LED to it to see if and when it is energizing. 2: Jump out the 2 large terminals , for 30 seconds or so, before you start it in the am to see it if that helps.
