Have VIN trying to find what Big Block is in N 600
I have a 1967 Ford N 600 flatbed truck with a FT V8 engine and I have been trying to figure out what size the engine is. My VIN is N60DUB11339 I know this much
N60= N600 (Gas)
D = ? eng
U = Louisville KY Ford Truck Plant
B11339 = year of vehicle
The N Series offered 4 V8 gassers as an option: 330 M/D; 330 H/D; 361; 391 4V. These were used in N and T Series (1965/69),

Well, it's definitely not a 4bbl carb, so it's not a 391. I was hoping you could get pics of the bottom pulley, especially the spacer behind it, but ... even that won't tell us if it's a 330MD or 330HD/361.
Because they share the same stroke, even the "dowel method" of measuring the stroke won't help determine if it's a 361 or a 330. Best way is to measure the spacer behind the crank pulley and compare to an FE - if it's the same as an FE it's a 330MD, if it's larger than the FE it's a 330HD or 361.
Without measuring the bore of the block, it's almost impossible to tell. Except for something someone mentioned (Moto Mel) in the FE forum yesterday.
Pull a spark plug (#1 works best), rotate engine to BDC (bottom-dead-center) on #1, fill cylinder with a thin liquid, measuring how much it takes to fill the cylinder up to where it runs out of the spark plug hole. Multiply by 8, you have the displacement of the engine. Or at least, very close.
