advice on finding a complete truck bed

My current truck, 99 f350, was born a SRW and the previous owner put the DRW conversion on it. It has a flat bed with many tool boxes on it. I no longer need this set up or all of the weight associated with it.

I'm looking to get a SRW regular truck bed and wheels. Get rid of the flat bed, boxes, DRW kit, and 7 dually wheels.

I posted on craigslist but people are not understanding what I want to do. They are mostly junkyards emailing me asking what I want them to get me.

Any thoughts on how to go about this are appreciated. If anyone wants to trade, that would be great. If you have a single rear wheel truck and want a DRW with flat bed with or without boxes, I'm your new best friend.

You might try Used Auto Parts | Used Car Parts (use the keyword "pickup bed" when going thru their steps)

Maybe there is one close to you...

I'm really looking for a trade ideally. Or a really inexpensive truck bed to buy. Keep the suggestions coming. Thanks for the input.

Long or short bed? Long beds seem to be everywhere -- I would LOVE to lay hands on a short '08-'10 bed........

if you can work this out with Diane I can bring it back up to MD on my way back from RRE. What do you have for wheels? I am looking for an extra set to be powdercoated some time in the future?

That is a great offer Megawatt, thank you. I left a message for Diane today. I have the standard grey dually wheels. I think they are 16". I'll look when I get home and check the tires too.

Izzy, I think it is a long bed. The flat bed is 8' long, but I'm not sure if it hangs out the back more than the original. I don't know if you can tell by the Vin: 1FTSW31F6XED74606

Megawatt,

Sorry it took me so long to get back. I never did get a call back from Diane. I just got my hands on some wheels and tires to make my truck SRW. You mention above that you were looking for a extra set (7) of Dually wheels. Well I have them available probably by next week if you're interested. Let me know. I'll start doing some research on a price. The tires are in good condition. The spare is actually brand new...tire and rim.

The bed that they had was a short bed anyway. I will give you a call and we will see what we can do from there. How far are you from Dillsburg PA? If all goes according to plan I will be there in October for Fall Brawl.

It doesn't sound like you ever found a bed. I have one sitting on my property that I'd like to get rid of. Its a SRW LB. Exterior is great, interior is so-so. FL bed with NO rust.

There is a white one with tailgate sitting at Walkers in Waverly, Iowa. I'm thinking it was short but would have to check to be sure. Must have been a takeoff since it looked like new. Got any truckers going north?

Magawatt, I just happened to see 4 aluminum wheels off of a 1999 Ford for sale in a local paper (Lancaster PA). They are 8 hole and the guy is asking $160.00. Let me know if you would like the rest of the contact information.
