no left turn signal or brake light
recently i noticed in my old 62 ford f100 that my let turn signal clicked faster than the right side... then i noticed that although it clicks and i get a little light on the dash there is no signal light from the back left nor is there a brake light on the left either.
i get a right hand turn signal/brake light, but no left hand. the running lights work fine... and so does the front left signal...
i did some searching but got mixed information... some say its a bad flasher or a bad turn signal switch...
is this true? seems strange to me cause the front signal on the left works but the rear does not... though the fast and irregular clicking has me a bit worried.

i have tried switching bulbs out, still does it.
strange thing about the fast flash is that lately i will see it flashing... but sometimes i dont hear the "click" associated with the turn signal turning off and on. the light blinks... but no click...
by the way... i LOVE the signature. have a springfield 1911 GI model myself

Not familiar with 61 wiring, found many of the electrical gremlins on the 65 stemmed from faulty ground or connection. Mentioned the flasher unit does not make the 'clicking' noise, suggest first start by replacing the flasher unit, recently had to replace the 65's and seem to recall cost about $6 at local auto store, best to take original with u.

thankfully the flasher switch is easy enough to get to. at lunch i am going to check the brake light wire again for breaks.

My 1911 is a Colt. Part of a lot sold to the Navy in 1918.
The flasher is in the part of the circuit that is common to all four of the signal lights. If it goes bad, then none should flash, not just one corner. I'd check the ground on the left rear, and I'd check to see if power is getting out to the socket. At that point if still nothing, I'd start looking at the turn signal switch. Might be one bad contact in the switch.
