Ha. Nothing *****. One day I started up my truck because I havent ran it for a while, left it in Neutral(STUPID!) went upstairs, heard a crunch, came outside, it had jumped into reverse and backed into my 2003 ford f150 and crunched the fender to hell. Had to order a new one. Stupid mistake, and costly.

I do have one question, I was reading where sometimes you can stress the Fenders out if you attach them to the Running boards. Any truth to this. I got the Front attached with the bolt and the rubber bushing, never attached my 3 " widers yet. Hmmmmm

i bought 3" wider fiberglass rear fenders for my 51. i havnt mounted them yet but i did dry fit them and the running boards, they do not bolt right up together. the running board is rounded at the back and forms around the fender, so now the end of the running board needs to be cut off and fitted to the fender. i like them tho it will require extra fabrication.

I had to do that. I ordered new glass boards and had to cut off and reshape the rear to mate with my 3" wider steel fenders. Turned out great.

So with steel running boards and glass fenders any issues? Sounds like most fenders from Mid Fifty's worked okay!

Sam and I have both said that the ones we used from mid-fifty had no issues.

Steel boards and 3"wider fiberglass fenders.
