1999 F150 stereo 12V source wiring question

I just replaced my factory stereo (Not Premium) with a new off the shelf brand. Followed the directions from installdr and the directions for the new stereo. Tested all the speakers and everything works great except for this:

I have identified two 12v sources using a volt meter. Neither are constant. The one that I think is supose to be the constant 12v source is not so constant. Using a volt meter, the 12v source has no power, but when the ignition is on and then turned off the 12V source stays ON for only about 5 secs causing my radio to reset once the source is shut off. I can hear a clicking sounds when this happens. The other 12v source gets power when the ignition is turned on and loses power imediatly when the ignition is turned off.

Is this the way it works? My phone charger plug has 12V constant but I rather not deal with this unless I have to.

I think I found out the 12V source that turns off after 5 secs. Its the Auto Lamp source. So my next question is where can I get 12V constant source? I have used my volt meter trying to find one on the radion wire harness but can't. any ideas?

I have the harness. Yellow is connected to the light Green/Purple. Using a volt meter there is no power on the yellow. The only 12v l I get is Red and Orange. I already figured out that the red is the ignition. The orange is the Auto Lamp switch but I can't find the constant 12V. I'm just trying to figure out if this is the way it is and I have to go look for a constant 12V else where.

your stock radio had to have had a constant source. so whatever the diagram that should have came with the wirring adapter labels as power should work. keep in mind that any positive must also have a consatnt ground as well. but agian your stock head unit should have had that too. i am pritty sure the power wire has a fuse too not certian on that though
