Programming IDM

Thanks for the reply. I had replaced the entire harness several months ago. Prior to purchasing the rebuilt(auto computers)IDM I removed the valve cover and checked all the connections on the bank that didnt seem like it was running. When I installed the new IDM the check tried to start but seemed "out of sync". Wont start at all now.

Yea, The IDM has no programmable IC's on it that I can tell.
No idea on your starting issue.
Did you actually unplug the VC harnesses to check them?
Mine were burned inside the harness, and you couldn't tell unless you unplugged them.
By Harnesses, i'm talking about the one inside the valve cover, not the one outside.

IDM programming
The Harness assembly was purchased new. I replaced the entire harness exterior and interior assemblies. The truck has 300000 and had been running excellent. It has been taken care of pretty well. We took the new(rebuilt) IDM off and replaced with the old one and it actually started but still was not running on all the cylinders. I have contacted the Auto Computer Exchange to send for a replacement thinking that the New(rebuilt) one may actually be bad. Dont really have any other ideas at present. Thanks for the responses. Any suggestions are much appreciated.
